She was so cute up on stage with her
fellow kindergartens!

She knew all the words and we had so much fun watching
her cute little show.

Grandpa Duane came over from work to
watch!

day of school.

What a great Halloween we all had this year.

Dad and Amy's 20th wedding Anniversary.

ended up carrying them back to the house.

Bella even managed a ride from Grandpa's
poor shoulders.

Mickey, Minnie and Goofy I have ever seen.
Emry was such a great sport dressing up
and even helped Abriana get her candy.

My sweet sister Camey was the Mad Hatter with Alice this year.
They were so super cute together and Bayleigh love it.

Heaven got another Angel

Where do I start when it comes to talking about my
"GRANDFATHER."
He was an all around amazing man. People who knew him only ever had great things
to say about him. He had a true, unbreakable faith in his religion and lived his life by it everyday. Family is everything to him after God and no one would ever question that.
My Grandpa Jack means much to me.
He is someone I will always love and miss so much. He was a man who showed me what it meant to love unconditionally. He excepted me for who I am and what decisions I have made in my life. He always wanted me to stay strong to the Mormon religion but knew it was up to me to do it. One of my favorite things he would tell me was "EVERYONE has THEIR own free agency, it's up to them to decide what to do with it". He was a man who started off as the youngest of 5 boys, a farmer from Willows, CA, who loved his mother so much. He ended up a man with his doctorate and professor at Sacramento State University, husband to 2 amazing women (his 1st one passed away from cancer and his 2nd just passed away 8 months ago,) father to 4 children of his own and 4 of Grandma Pat's children, 27 amazing grandchildren and 16 even more amazing great-grand children. He loved to get together for any reason we could to celebrate. He was an amazing cook, a pro at card playing and always a great story teller. He had a ton of adventures in his 86 years of life and could remember dates like it was going out of style. I was lucky enough to be able to spend a lot of time with him. I will miss having our weekly conversations. We would talk all the time over the phone and got together as offend as we could. As soon as I could drive, I would go out and visit him and my Grandmother every week. Once they moved out to Utah, Ben and I traveled back there a few times for visits. I will always remember the great times we had with them. Thank you Grandpa Jack for loving me so much! Thank you for always being nothing but a great example to me. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for helping me be the person I am today. I will miss your face so much. I will miss hearing your voice on the other end of the phone. I will miss making unforgettable memories with you. I am grateful that you got to know my amazing husband and he got to know you. I am grateful that ALL of my children got to know who you were and how much you've always meant to me. I am grateful that I got to do almost 31 years of life with you. I will always be grateful that I got to and will continue to call you GRANDPA. I know you're having an amazing time where you're at now. I know you have a huge group of people with you now, who have been waiting for you for a long time. I look forward to the day we meet again and know you'll be watching over me till then. I love you so much Grandpa Jack and "THANK YOU" for everything you ever stood for.

They were so excited when he gave them

1st day of school 2011

Well the day has finally gotten here...
We now have 3 kids heading out the
door in the morning for school.
Blake is now a 4th grader,
Brooklyn is now a 2nd grader
and
Bella is officially a kindergartener!

Camey came over in the morning to wish them a
great first day of school. They were so excited to see her!

We met over at Kacey's house for the traditional
walk to school with all these great kids.
(The crowd is getting older and older)

On August 19th we found out that Ben will be leaving in
January 2012 to sever his country in Afghanistan.
Even though being away from our husband/daddy
for so long will be difficult, we are so proud of him
for being so brave and serve his country. We love
you so much Ben!

Grandma Jan's corn festival...

Brooklyn and Grandma Jan came up
a fun idea to harvest Grandma's corn.
They decided to have a corn festival and
serve all corn related food.

It started off with the kids picking all
the corn off of the corn stocks.

Grandma gave them each a basket to
put there corn in.

They loaded up their baskets!!!

Once all the corn stocks were bared it was

time to shuck the corn.

It was such a great time!
They didn't stop till every last piece was done.

Then for dinner we had corn dogs, chips with corn salsa,
corn on the cob and corn bread.

Then for dessert we had vanilla ice cream
with candy corn jelly bellys on top.

At the end of the night Ben and Joe had
a bobbing for apple race. It was a super close race
but Joe won. It was so funny watching them try to
figure out how to get the corn out of the bowls
and then chuck them on the ground.

Thank you Brooklyn and Jan for such a great family night!
What a great way to spend time together.

Bella has finally started soccer!

Bella is finally old enough to play
soccer and she is super excited!
Ben has taken on the roll of coach for her team.

There are 6 girls and 4 boys on the team...
The Avengers is the team name and so
far all of the kids are having a blast
being on the team.

They love to do their warm ups...

And have a blast learning how to play the game.
No surprise though cause Ben is an amazing soccer coach!
(I might be a little bias)

Also to Blake and Brooklyn.

Happy birthday Grandma Jan...

Grandma Jan had a birthday on August 6th, and we all got
together to celebrate her. We started off the party with
a fun art project Aunt Kalynn brought over for the kids.

They had a lot of fun coloring together. They colored in little crabs
with their pictures in the middle. It was to go along with the crab feed
Grandpa Marc was making for dinner.

Then after we finished with our art project the kids
all got their swim suits on for some fun in the pool!

Daddy of course got in with them and they all
loved having a blast with him.

Kelsea and Bayleigh didn't last to long in the pool
so once they were done they decided it was time to chalk
on the sidewalk.

They worked hard on making rainbows!

It sure was fun hanging with the birthday
girl on her special day!

Halloween was a blast this year, we had some
fantastic visitors.
Jake and Ashley came out for a trip and we all had a blast!

Happy 19 years of marriage to
such a great couple.

We hung out with Dad and Ami for the festivities,
there was family, food and fun!

It was a great night and we walked away with
about 12 pounds of candy! We've decided to
send it to the soldiers who are serving
our country right now through a program our school

after we told them were it was going.

What has happened in the Geddes Family

Well Chelsey had her little girl on July 16. Welcome little
Abriana Joy. This tiny girl was 6 pounds 6 ounces
and 18 1/2 inches long. She is such a great baby,
we have all had a blast getting to know her.

Besides baby Abriana, we have been up to a lot...
School started at the end of August. Ben is still doing drill one weekend a month. We have soccer practice 4 days a week and 2 games on Saturday. Blake has been doing competitive soccer all year and Brooklyn started Rec soccer 6 weeks ago. I definitely know what the meaning of a soccer Mom is now and we are only half way there. School is now full days for Blake and Brooklyn. Bella goes to pre-school on Tuesday's and Thursday's. Bayleigh loves to go to Mother Goose on the Loose with Mommy.

Things we're looking forward to...

Halloween is around the corner
Cooler weather is in the air

We had a great time at Chelsey's baby shower...

Bella turned 4

We celebrated Bella turning 4
Fairytale town style.

We got there right when it opened so that it was still nice
outside and we didn't all melt before it was noon.
Funny thing is it turned out to be breezy and some of us actually
needed sweaters to stay warm.

It was such a great morning and the place was practically
empty. It was almost like we had it to ourselves.
Bella was so excited to turn 4. She is always trying to
keep up with Blake and Brooklyn!

All the kids had a blast...
One of my old time favorites is the crooked mile,
I think Bayleigh agrees!

It sure is hard to believe this one is already 4,
where does the time go?

Emry sure is one of her favorite people!

After we finished with Fairytale Town we
headed out to the park for some lunch.

Then it was time for the cake!
Bella picked a Strawberry Shortcake theme
this year for her party.

This simply can't be true...
Tell me it's not so...

Emry is officially done with elementary school.
He had his 6th grade graduation on the last
day of school and it went so great.
He is so big now and it's hard for me to believe that
this kid is going to be at Barrett Jr. high like his Mom and
Aunt Brittiny were. Great job Emry, you've done
an amazing job this far. We are so proud of you!

Brooklyn is now a 1st grader

We sure have been busy this June.
Brooklyn is now done with kindergarten.

Her school did a very cute little graduation for all the soon to be
1st graders and it was so fun to watch her walk
across the stage.

After the got their diploma we headed back to the classroom
and they got cupcakes with sharks on them.
(the sharks were the class mascot)

Great job Baby Girl, you did a great job all year
long and learned so much. We are
all excited for 1st grade and
know you're going to great next
year also!

Isaiah's Pre-school graduation

Fun in Tahoe

Having family in South Lake Tahoe is proving to be tons of fun.
We ran up the mountain for a Sunday soccer game and stayed for a few day.
Kalynn and I did some scrapbooking and picture taking,

Ben and Joe took the kids to play at the soccer field and
to hit some golf balls and the driving range.

Then on our last day we took a walk around this great trail that
is perfect for little kids. They all had such a fun time.

On the trail was a room that they had built so that
you could see what was going on under the water. You
could see the fish and vegetation.

All the kids loves watching!

This sure is a child friendly trail and something
we will definitely be doing again.

Lake Tahoe is one of the best places
I have ever been. It is so peaceful, such a relaxing
place to be.

It was an amazing game

Blake has been on an in-door soccer team for the past
4 and a half months. It has been so much fun going to all his games
to watching him and his team.

They were a good team but never stayed consistent with the way they
they played the game. It took them a while to learn how to play as a team.
But this session they started to come around and really play
as a group. They started staying in their positions and
talking to each other to get the ball to the goal.

The Lions made it to the final 2 and played an amazing game.
They took it for the win 6-5 against a team that hadn't last
a game this session. It was a great game and the boys played hard. Blake
scored 3 of our 6 points so needless to say I was a very
proud Mommy. Yay Lions, you did an amazing job!

Where has the time gone to???

We started the month off with a short trip to Lake Tahoe.
Ashley was in town so we went and had some fun up in the
snow. Joe, Kalynn and Kelsea came and
hung out with us also!

We spent the night cooking dinner and hanging out.

Then we got ready and went down to the spa
for some warm water time.

We also went to a ski run and did some sledding.
The kids had a blast going down those hills.

We always seem to have a group with us wherever we go...

We left the next day after stopping by Joe and Kalynn's
house for some hot chocolate and cookies.

It had already started to snow so I
was a bit nervous driving down.
We made it home just fine though!

Then for one of Bella's filed trips we went for a ride on the
light rail. The kids had a great time and did way better then
I thought they would on it.

A couple of Fridays ago the kids and I played hooky
from school and had a fun day. We went to whole food for breakfast
played for over 2 hours in the little store they have
for kids. My friend Lisa and her son George
came with us.

We have now begun our baseball season again
and have also added Comp. soccer into the mix.
Blake made it onto a comp team this year, so he is
doing both for now.

Brooklyn had a leprechaun trap project for school.
It was a lot of fun helping her make this.

On St. Patrick's day we took the kids over to the
Fountains for some Big Spoon. We walked down to watch the
water and eat our yummy frozen yogurt.

Hope everyone else in enjoying the month of March.
We just seem to be SUPER busy with life,
but we're sure having a fun time doing it!

January birthdays...

January seems to be one of our
busy months for birthdays...
We started the month off with
Aunt Jeanette b-day on the 2nd!
We didn't get to spend it with her but she had a
great day in the bay area with her three guys.
Then we celebrated Isaiah turning the big 5 on the 8th.
Chelsey did a bowling for him and it was a blast knocking all
those pins down.

Then on the 11th our sweet Bayleigh turned 2
and we all went to Wacky Tacky to play
the night away. It is so hard to believe that our baby is
already this big. Where has the last two years gone???

On the 13th Dallas turn the ripe old age of 8 and is now
getting ready to be baptized. What a great little brother
this kid is!

Last but not least, Joe is turning 31 on the 24th.
I'm not sure if we'll see him on his birthday but it will be a great
celebration in Tahoe if we don't.

We are so grateful that we got to be apart of all of the celebrating.

Needless to say December has been a very busy month for us...
We started off with getting a Christmas tree first thing. We go to the same lot
every year, sorta a tradition you could say!
Then of course it snowed here for a brief moment
and that was exciting for all of us.

Then we got to have Ben come home for 2 weeks for Christmas.
This was the best gift our family got this Christmas.

Ashley also got to come home for a visit,
so we got to have the whole family home for the holidays.

We celebrated our birthdays...
Camey turned 21

and I turned 29.
Camey and I both agree that this was one of the best
birthdays ever. We really had tons of fun.

I did breakfast with my Dad and Ami,
Lunch with Marc, Jan, Joe, Kalynn and Kelsea
and dinner with everyone else.

We had Dad and Ami over for Christmas Eve.
Chelsey made a great dinner for us all.
We hung out all night laughing, talking and having a good time.

Then we did our traditional Christmas P.j.'s.
Ever year we all get our Christmas P.j.'s

This year we also got a new little addition.
Mrs. Clause sent us "An Elf on the Shelf".
He sits and watches the kids to make sure their being good
and reports back to Santa every night.
Then he would find a new spot to sit in every morning.
The kids loved getting up every morning to find him.
Then on December 24 he goes back to the
North Pole and if the kids were good all month, Santa comes.

Our tree already for the kids to wake up!

Christmas Morning...

We had a blast opening presents together.
Camey stayed with us again,
it's become another one of our Christmas traditions.

Then we headed over to my moms house for a Christmas breakfast,
we also did a gift exchange and hung out playing Dallas's new Wii.

Later on we went over to Marc and Jan's house but I left my cameras at home so I have no pictures to show. We sure had a very fun time over there also. We stayed pretty late while the kids played and we all visited.
Then the day after Christmas Ben and I loaded up
the van and drove up the South Lake Tahoe.

Ben's brother moved up there a few months ago and
we decided it was time to go see there new house.

Marc and Jan also came and we were able to do
a big family photo.
(I'll post it next)

It was such a blast playing in the snow
and hanging out up in Tahoe.

We had a great December and hope that everyone else enjoyed their holiday season.
It sure was a very busy month but it was fun one.

Do you believe in Santa Claus??? I know I sure do...

VIRGINIA, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except [what] they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.

Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.

You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.

No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

This is one of my all time favorite explanations of believing Santa truly existed. In 1897 a little girt had been told by some friends that there was no such thing as Santa. So she wrote a letter to the editor of the Daily Sun in New York and asked if there really was, this was the response to her letter letting her know that indeed he does truly exists. Every time I ready this it makes my belief in something I can't see with my eyes but I can feel in my heart, I know it is truly apart of my life. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.

We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving
Ours was great with the one exception of
Ben not being with us on this thankful holiday.

We spent the day with family...
It started off at home getting ready, Camey was here with us
and we watched the Thanksgiving day parade.

Then we headed out to My Dad and Ami's house.
We truly are so blessed with the love of such a great big family!
After we ate the first of three amazing dinners we went through the
Black Friday ads.
Then we went out front to do a little picture taking.
It is always so much fun to hangout and let the kids play.

After we left my dads house we stopped off over at Jan and Marc's to see them and take picture while there was still day light. We came back over here later but I wanted pictures with them before there was no sun. Then we headed over to Pat and Ken's house to have dinner with my Mom's side of the family. This was the first time in 9 years that we all ate as a family with this many people. Michale and Aunt Jeanette, Jayson and De Vona, Camey, Chelsey and Michael, Mom ans Kevin, Me and the special guest that we haven't had a Thanksgiving with in 9 years was Grandpa Jack! It was also another great meal and I was so happy to see Grandpa sitting at the other end of the table.

After we finished there the kids and I headed back over to Jan and Marc's. I was so glad to get to see Joe, Kalynn and Kelsea for the first time in a long time also. They had moved up to Tahoe at the end of August and we haven't seen them since Halloween.
What a great Thanksgiving we had this year.
We all missed Ben a bunch and even though we got to talk to
him throughout the day it still wasn't the same without him.

Okay this is a little out of order but I wanted to get these all up.
We had our family from Utah come out and visit this Halloween.
It was so much fun hanging out for 4 days full of total fun.
Blake was Peter Pan this year. I talked him into it
so that he and Bayleigh could match.
What a great sport he is for his mom!

Brooklyn was The Little Mermaid.
(Ashley sent this wig for her to wear)

Miss Bella was Princess Jasmin

and of course Bayleigh was none other then the
feisty Tinker Bell, so perfect for her.

Kelsea was the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.

Kalynn was Alice and Joe was the Mad Hatter.
They always come up with the greatest family costumes.

Sweet Alyssa was also Tinker Bell and her brothers were

Ben's Graduation from basic training

Let me just start off by saying how amazing my husband is!
I am so proud of all the hard work that he has done.
This post is about all the stuff we got to do on
our fast, 4 day trip back to Missouri.

We got on the plane in Sacramento at 10:05 in the morning,
it was going to be a day full of traveling.

With one stop in Phoenix

and a safe landing in St. Louis,
we were that much closer to seeing Ben.
After getting the rental car and a
2 1/2 hour car ride we were at our hotel.
We all just wanted to go to sleep so that we could get
up and head over to the base.

It sure is a little nerve racking being on a military base.
They do things a little different then us civilians.

We all went to Shea Gym and waited for about an hour for our soldiers to come in. When they did it was so amazing. They marched in chanting at the tops of their voices and it filled that gym.
It made me cry (happy tears) as soon as I spotted Ben. I was in pure amazement seeing him for the first time in 10 weeks.

He was so into everything he was doing!

All the families were sitting in bleachers, so once the soldiers were allowed to join their families we all started calling out our soldiers names. It took Ben no time at all to find us. Blake got down to him first and Ben gave him a huge hug.
Next came Bella and she just jumped into her daddy's arms.
She was so happy to finally be in his grasp again.

We all sat and talked for a few minutes and then decided to head back outside.

We got to meet a lot of his new Army friends.
They had so many nice things to say about Ben,
He sure seemed to be a good guy to
have around during basic training.

With so many families there to support their soldiers there wasn't a lot of places to hang out at and we had to keep them close to the Delta company territory, so we walked back to our Van.

he called home every Sunday to talk to us!

Everyone wanted to fill his ears with stories.

It took the kids no time at all to start playing with their Daddy.

We spent most of our time hanging out by the van, just catching up and listening to whatever Ben wanted to tell us. It was so interesting to hear all the things he went through while he was here.

Of course the Drill Sargent decided to smoke everyone
while their families were there.

Thursday was his graduation and I
was so glad we were all there to see it.

Ben looked sooooo good in class A's.
I must say,
I have a very good looking husband.

As soon as he was released again the kids all ran over for a great big hug. We got to take him back to our hotel and he spent almost 9 hours with us. I couldn't believe how much Ben has embraced everything he has learned since he has been here. Of course the 9 hours just flow by and before we knew it it was time to take him back to base.

None of us took this very good!

Saying goodbye all over again was very difficult.

He won't be gone for to long.
He gets to come home for Christmas for a little while.

I think we're pretty close to our half way mark,
if not already there.

Ben is doing an incredible job. He was given the Army Value of Honor, which is all 7 Army values. They did a fire ceremony Monday before we got there. His Drill Sergeant said that Ben totally had all 7 of the Army Values covered and was given this for a very special reason.

We were so blessed to be able to go back to Missouri and share in this time with Ben. I am filled with so much happiness and pride for everything my husband has been able to do. You can't truly understand what it is like to be a part of this until you are.

I want to thank all the Men and Women out there serving in our military services. You are doing amazing things and I am so proud and honored to have my husband stand by your side. Also I would like to thank all the families who stand by them, supporting them to get through this. You too are an amazing group of people and I couldn't be happier to now be a part of this group!

Congratulations Ben on all you hard work and success. You have worked so long and hard and I am glad that this part of the journey is over for you. We will always be here by your side and love you so much.
Thank you for being such a brave man!

A day at the bay

Our cousins came into town for a visit,
so we drove down to San Fransisco for the day to see them.

We went to a museum at Golden Gate Park.

The kids loved seeing all the stuff this place was full of.

My Mom was loved by the butterflies.
At least 3 of them landed on her at different times.

We went to a 3-D movie.

Walked through a rain forest exhibit.

Full of plants, animals and
a huge pond full of the biggest fish I had ever seen in real life.

After our adventures at the museum we headed down to the pier to get something to eat.
We went to one of our favorite places, Bubba Gumps.
It was a great day and I was so glad to see our family.
They are always so much fun to hang out with.

First day of kindergarten and second grade

Brooklyn start kindergarten this year. It is so hard to believe that now we have two school age kids. She was so excited to be in her new class. Her best little friend Joey and her got the same class, she was so happy about that.

Brooklyn got a boy teacher (as she says)this year. I wasn't able to go into the class on the first day. He wanted the parents to wait a few weeks before doing that. So this is out front of our apartment.

Blake is in second grade now, he couldn't believe that he got his own desk this year. He was so happy cause also got a male teacher. He thinks he is super funny and really likes him so far. He still doesn't like doing homework but knows he has to get it done. Time sure does fly by, my little babies aren't babies any more.

For our last dinner we let Daddy decide what he wanted to eat before he got to enjoy months of military food. Of course he picked sushi, which is a family favorite. It sure was nice eating together for the last time this year. Camey was here with us so she was nice enough to take this picture. Ben has already been gone for 6 weeks today. I know that means that I am way behind on my postings but I am trying to play catch up. We are all doing really good, we get to talk to Ben on Sundays. He writs at least once a week and even though we miss him like crazy, we are so proud of our Daddy! The kids and I say "goodnight to the moon every night and if there is no moon then we say goodnight to the stars. They know it's the same sky their Daddy can see. Thank you to everyone who has helped us get through all of the busy activities four kids tend to have and for giving me some quite time when I am needing my time-outs.

State Fair 2009

We made it to the state fair this year.
We had to go on opening day cause Ben
was leaving for the military three short days later.
This has become a sorta of tradition for us each year to go.
I get my picture taken with each of the kids in a black/white photo booth.
(I post this years black/white pics on the next post)

We went with Camey and the kids she watches,
Emry, Joe, Kalynn and Kelsea.

Right off the start it started to get hot, we decided it was a perfect time to grab something to eat and sit in the shade. The food was not that good this year, it tasted like they had gotten cheaper with the ingredients. But we all managed to eat just fine I guess!

Emry could only stay for a little bit,
but we sure enjoyed having him with us while he was.

The wine and cheese garden was a really cute display of over sized
snails, butterflies, toadstools, bee hives etc.

There is a new museum opening up in Sacramento and they had some displays for the kids to play with. It was a very fun stop for all of them.

With the mixture of the heat and all the fun activity Bayleigh couldn't help herself!

This was a piece of art someone did made completely out of tooth picks.

Joe sure was a good sport about going,
he's not a BIG fan of the swings.

It sure was a great day at the fair, we all had a lot of fun. It was super hot most of the day but we held in there for the long hall. We stood in line for over an hour to ride the tram. All in all we were there from 11 in the morning to 10 at night. For me this has always been my way of ending the summer and starting the school year. I am so glad we got to go and so happy we got to do it with such great people.

Family sleepover

Since we were on the count down for Ben's departure the kids made a sort of bucket list of stuff they wanted to do with "daddy" before he left. One of them was a family sleep over in the living room. So we pulled the top mattress off of our bed, plus made a few extra on the couch.
While working at Bed, Bath and Beyond Ben came across a recipe on how to make a great banana split. So we decided to make it for the treat at the sleep over.

We also rented three kids movies to watch while
we ate some really good "movie" popcorn.

This is how they turned out.
I'd have to say that this is one great banana split!

We all really enjoyed them...

It sure was a great night and I am so glad we had the
opportunity to do this with the kids before Ben left.

I know that this happened a while ago but I still want to post this.
Our sweet (not so little) Emry turn 11 last month.
Talk about time flying by.
Chelsey had another great birthday party for him over at my mom house.

We did presents.

Had cake.

And even did a pinata.
After they broke it open and collected all the candy,
we had a great canned string fight.
We were covered in it and it was a blast.

once we finished with the pinata across the street at the park.

Then we got back to the other fun.

Chelsey rented two bounce houses for us to play on.

One was this water slide that everyone
took turns going down.

Bayleigh dropped her lollipop and was
not at all pleased with the dirty covering it!

Our fun camp out in Grandma Ami and Grandpa Duane's backyard.

A few weekends back we went over to my
dad's house to have a sleep over in the backyard.
Since we have so many little kids this had been one of the best
ways for us to enjoy camping. Ami set the whole
yard up for the event. There were tents,
sleeping bags and even a place for a fire.

My dad barbecued hot dogs and steak. There was a game of badminton going off and on and Grandpa even had a t.v. out so the boys could play video games. As the night went on we did a bit of roasting marshmallows.

We hung out by the fire,
enjoying a nice evening outside.

The kids all had so much fun hanging out with their Grandparents.

Bayleigh loved being outside the entire time.
She is our nature girl for sure.

Sleeping went really good during the night. All the kids slept in two tents and Ben, Ami and I slept under the stars. Grandpa got sent in the house, Blake said he snores way to loud.

We all ate donuts for breakfast
and hung out enjoying a nice cool morning.

After we were all finished we got ready to head over to the pool at my dads elks club.

We swam there for over an hour. It was a great pool and we were the only people there. The pool was 8 feet deep and we all had a blast swimming.

Before we left we had one last snack by the pool.
It sure was a nice camp-out.
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for letting us all come over.

Happy 3rd Brithday Bella

(So I know I am a bit behind in the blogging world so here is my attempt to catch up)
We Celebrated Bella's 3rd birthday in June. She wanted to go skating for her party, we did it a few days before her actual birthday so Auntie Ashley could be included in the festivities. We all met up at Roller King for a afternoon full of skating.
Camey also came and brought her twins that she watches.
We were so excited to meet Jordan and Jasmine...
( I promise Bella has two shoes, even though one seems to be missing in this picture).

We were so happy Ashley was able to be apart of Bella's skating party. Even though Ashley didn't skate, it worked out great cause Bella decided that she wasn't going to actually skate either, once we were all there with our skates on.

However, I made her keep her skates on and she just rolled around the skating rink. She was not a big fan of anyone trying to get her out on the hardwood floor. I did take her out once just to show her how fun it really was. Emry joined us half way around and after crying the entire way she looked up at him and said "That was not fun at all."

Grandma Joy and Brooklyn were best buds skating.
They had so much fun out there!

Dallas was a stud out on the floor in his roller blades.

Blake did a great job getting around the floor also.
He was so brave having not been skating in over a year.

Bayleigh on the other hand wanted
NOTHING to do with the skating floor...

I love this boy so much.

It sure was a great day and we all had a blast.
Even though Bella didn't end up skating she sure had a great time.
Little Bayleigh was happiest with her cup of ice water!

Our sweet girls trip to the dentist

Brooklyn was such a brave girl at her trip to the dentist.

She listen really well

Did everything they told her to do.
Didn't cry when they gave her the shot.

Held her mouth open nice and big.

And even manage to give me a smile after two fillings.
Mommy felt like the worst mom in the entire world. We brush every day
but the dentist told me how important flossing is
and that I needed to brush for two minutes every time.
I got the worst mother of the year award that day...

You live and learn.
Now we brush AND floss every day.
We time it for two minutes each time.
Let me tell you two minutes is a lot longer then you think,
but worth not watching our little girl go through that.
Even though she was so brave,
I can't sit my kids in pain.
I'm a softy, I know.

Have to really keep my eye on this one...

A few weeks ago Aunt Jeanette came out to spend the day with us.
We went over to Panera to get some lunch with mom and Dallas and decided to eat outside due to the active kids that accompanied us. While I was trying to enjoy lunch I had to constantly get up to retrieve Bayleigh who thought it was so funny to get as far away from me as possible. After totally being sick of chasing her and feeling I had exhausted my request of Dallas to run after her I was just going to let her be and see where that would leave me...

Well needless to say my sweet little daughter found the only mud pit in the entire eating area and proceed to fall, that's right fall into the mud. So now what are we left with? A little girl, covered in mud and a lunch still in progress. So what do I do? Oh just take off her pants and let her run around in a shirt, diaper and saltwater sandels. I guess when you get to baby #4 you tend to let the O.C.D. things go a bit.

I can't even tell you how proud of herself she was.
She thought she was the sillest little Bayleigh around.

Brooklyn is now a kindergartner

This past week Brooklyn finished pre-school.
She has enjoyed every minute a being a preschooler, but couldn't be more excited about finally being in kindergarten.
The teachers had a great pancake breakfast for all the students and their families.
My mom and Camey even came to enjoy the morning celebrations.

Brooklyn had such a great teacher and aid.
They did such amazing things with the kids all year long, I loved all the art projects Brooklyn was constantly bring home. They also taught her how to write her name, along with all the A,B,C's and all the 1,2,3's.

They sung the cutest song about the ocean,
they even had hand signs to go along with it.

She had such a great class. Most of these kids have been together since last year.
Now they are all ready to move on to kindergarten.

This is Brooklyn's friend Joey, they are like two peas in a pod!

It is so hard to believe that we now have two elementary school age children, my how time just goes by so fast. We were really hoping Brooklyn would also get Blake's kindergarten teach, Mrs. G was a great teacher. We have found out that she is actually going to be in Mr. Denney's class next year. He was a second grade teacher this year and is moving down to join the kindergarten classes. We are sad to not have Mrs. G, but have heard nothing but great things about Mr. Denney. Brooklyn can't believe that she is going to have a "boy" teacher.

Bens new look

Ben has now gone to two R.S.P. weekends. This last weekend they gave him his new set of National Guard attire.

It was sort of a shock to see him when he walked in like this.
They had to wear these all weekend and it was not
nice weather this weekend at all.
I think he looks so good in his uniform!

We're all so happy with Ben decision to take this step in life. It will be a lot of hard work on both our parts, but this is a very important step in our lives. Ben will leave at the end of August for Missouri and will be gone for 22 weeks. He gets to come home for two weeks at Christmas and we're all really glad for that. He should then be home the third week of January for good.

Our Mothers Day get away!

For Mothers Day this year we all took a trip up to Angles Camp. My mom got another one of her amazing timeshares for the weekend so we celebrated all weekend long.

When we got there on Friday we all got our suits on and
went and jumped into the huge pool that was at the resort!

The kids love to swim.
They're like a school of fish,
they never want to get out of the water when it's time to leave.

On Saturday we woke up, got ready and drove to Yosemite for the day.

Last time we all went here Brooklyn was about six months old.
Everyone was so full of the great energy that this place is full of.

Our first stop was the deli.
Traveling with a group of kids this big,
we tend to get a lot of kids telling us that their starving
as soon as they see anything that relates to food!
(It's crazy how history repeats itself.)

After we ate, we headed over to the Indian display.

~This would of been the perfect tiki size for our family~

Once we made it through the Indian village we asked the kids
what they wanted to do and they ll wanted to see a waterfall up close...

So we followed the walkway over to Lower Falls. They have really done a lot of up grades since the last time we had been there. It was so easy to get around with our group of eleven.

The falls were in full force with all the snow melting.

It was such an amazing site.

On our walk to the falls all the kids did a bit of rock climbing.

The water was so loud and the mist gave you such an amazing rush.

by all the cold misty spray.

We all ran across the bridge.
The kids were all having so much fun.
This was such an amazing thing to see.

Everything about Yosemite is breathtaking!

As it got closer to our time to leave
we stopped to do our traditional tree hugging.

It had been such a long time, to long since we had been here.
The time just flew by and none of us wanted to leave.

Bayleigh really wasn't sure what we were doing!

After our adventures outside we all went up
to the pizza parlor to share a pizza.

We sure all had a great time. The kids were all so good and were so full of life and amazing energy the entire day. I love sharing this experience with everyone.

Even though it's a bit late, I want to wish everyone a Happy Mothers Day. Thank you Ben, Mom and Camey for such a great weekend. Thank you to all the seven amazing children I was with, You all make me a very happy Mom!

Happy birthday Brooklyn Resse

Our sweet little Brooklyn turned 5.
It is so crazy to think that this many years has already gone by.
We had her party at the park this year. Her birthday fell on the same day as one of Blake's games so we did it at the same time.

Everyone came to be part of the fun...

We did a cupcake cake this years. She picked a Hello kitty theme
and we were lucky enough to find a matching cake.

We put all of the soda and juice in a tot this year. For some reason Bayleigh really liked playing in the ice. Maybe it was because it was 90 degrees in April.
She wouldn't stop playing so I just let her alone.
Someone made the comment that she would probably end up in
the container sooner or later.

Well it happened! of course it was when my hands were covered in frosting and I was the closest one to grab her out of freezing cold ice water that she fell head first into. She was so unhappy about falling in, but was right back to playing in it after she got over the embarrassment.

Brooklyn was so excited about all the great gifts everyone got her!
Thank you to everyone.

This was the first time we did a pinata.
It turned out to be so much fun.
All the kids got some much candy!

Easter Day

My Mom made Easter dinner over at her house this year.

It was such a warm day so after a great dinner we all we went over to the school right across the street from her house and went on an Easter egg hunt.

First Camey, Ben and I went over and hid all of the eggs.

Then Mom and Kevin brought over all the kids.

The race was on to see who could find the most.

Everyone found so many of them.

Everywhere they looked they could see one.

Some were harder to get then others

In the end everyone had a blast

their baskets were full

and it was a job well done!

After they found all the eggs,
we hung out at the park to play.

What a great Easter morning we had this year.
We started the morning off with the kids finding the (plastic) eggs
the Easter bunny hid around our apartment.
They couldn't wait to get to their Easter
basket that was left for them.

Right away Bella went for the chocolate...

This year they got a lot of coloring stuff.

Bayleigh is a big fan of Mickey Mouse Club house,
isn't it crazy how much that Bunny knows!

She couldn't wait to color in her giant Little Einstein coloring book.

This is Blake's mouth full of blue gum.
(We don't give our kids gum very often so they
were really excited about it being in their eggs).

It took her no time to move onto the ring pops.

After realizing that there were actually things to eat in these eggs,
she decided to a look at them.

Every year I get so excited about coloring Easter eggs.
Then when it comes time to do it I get super nervous about all the kids,
the dye and some sort of craziness to happen.

Then as we start to dye the eggs each kids does a great job.
They had very little to no mess and took their time with each egg they did!

This year we had a few friends over as well as Dallas
to join us in our egg dying adventures.

We did it in shifts this time,
starting with the little kids first..

Then we brought the big kids in for some fun!

All in we dyed 58 eggs.

Ben ate two of them to make sure they were actually hard boiled.

Hope everyone enjoyed their egg dying experiences this year.

Our first snow day in almost two years

My mom got one of her rooms up in Tahoe,
so we headed up the mountain for a day full of fun playing in the snow.

It has been a long time since we went and had a snow day. The kids were so excited to play in the snow, they went sledding, threw snowballs and even managed to lose a shoe or two.

Brooklyn wanted to wear her rain boots up to the snow, it sounded like a good idea to me. Even after they were pulled off by the snow while she went down the hill backwards. She thought it was so funny she couldn't wait to get back up the hill to try it again.

Daddy ran down the hill to help her put them back on.
Her feet did get a little wet but she didn't mind at all.

Dallas talked Kevin into walking all the way to the top of the hill. They had a blast sledding down at full speed. Dallas is always such a daring kid. As soon as Brooklyn saw that he lived through it, she was up there right behind him.

What a silly girl we have!
(Her tongue is green due to the candy she was eating at the time she decided to stick it out, lovely child!)

Bayleigh fell asleep while we were sledding down the hill.
The next morning it was snowing, so right before we left her and Bella played in the snow.

Blake took this for us.
(It's nice that one of our kids are big enough to take pictures now).

Yeah we let our kids play in the snow in their P.J.'s!

It sure was fun to take the kids up the hill for some snow fun.
It was a fast but a very fun trip. I love being two hours from the mountains and the ocean.

Our fun at Bodega Bay

My mom took us to Bodega Bay for two days a few weeks ago. I was pregnant with Brooklyn the last time we went, so when she ask if we wanted to go I was so excited.

All of the grand children were there and Dallas

Our first night we all went swimming down at the pool.

After getting all cleaned up,
the kides snuggled up in bed and watched a movie

Uncle Wo-Wo (Celo) put Bella on the back of the pull down bed.
She thought it was so funny...

The next morning we all got ready to drive to the beach.

We found a great spot to hang out at and play.

We brought lunch with us so we could have a picnic at the beach.
Sand always finds it's way into everything! Yummy

We had so much fun at the beach

We tried to build sand castles, but the sand wasn't wet enough for it. So instead we dug holes and buried each others feet in the sand.

It was such a nice day.
We even tried to fly kites but it was a bit harder then it looked.

All the kids LOVED the sand so much.

When we got back to the room we were all tired.
We made dinner and watched a movie.

It sure was fun going to the beach before spring ended. During our drive along the coast we played a game counting how many hawks we could see. On the way in we counted 8 and on the way out we counted 11. The kids loved seeing how many we could find.

Brooklyn's first game....

This year is Brooklyn's first year to play t-ball.
She is totally loving every chance she gets to play.

She looks so great in her uniform. She found a great pair of these bright red cleats totally complete the entire get-up!

Every time she is on, waiting for the next batter to hit the ball, she stands on the base like this. Her hands in the ear holes of the helmet. It is so funny watching her in such anticipation for the next player to go.

They both wanted the ball!

We asked Bella if she was ready to play t-ball yet and she told us
"Not yet, I's not to big for it yet".

Blake thought it was very "unfair" that we wouldn't let him run off to the park. We told him that now it was his turn to watch, just like we have all done for him...

It was finally time to start the game.
She was so excited.

She was second up to bat.

She hit with such passion.

You could just see the excitement beaming off of her.

The team was all so happy about their first game.

Then it came time for the game ball...
The person who won the ball
-Had a big smile on their face the whole game
-Went after every ball no matter where it landed in the field
-Was full of such energy
and the winner is...

I am so happy to see Brooklyn have such a great time out there. She did such a great job and made her mom and dad very proud. Now we have two very good sports players. Good job Brooklyn, you did an amazing job!

Blake lost tooth #3 the other night. It was the first one he's lost one the top.
He likes to make sure that they are really loose before we pull them out.
This was one that he had been working on for a month now.
It finally came out after we had to struggle with one very strong root.
But I finally showed it who was boss.

He wanted to act like a monkey for this last one!
